Angel’s Landing is scary but getting a permit can be scarier 😱 (all details below) 🏜️ Save for your trip to Zion All jokes aside, we are thankful for permit systems put into place for hikes like Angel’s Landing in National Parks. Keeping hikers safe and crowds down 👍🏻 🎫 Permits required - $6 pp ⬇️ (apply here) https://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/angels-landing-hiking-permits.htm ✨If you’re planning your trip months in advance, make sure to apply for seasonal permits ASAP ✨If you miss the permit window, you can still apply for the daily lottery permits ✨If you’re like us, and missed out on BOTH of those options 😆, don’t worry - there is still hope 🔎 We learned that the iconic Angel’s Landing hike is the last .5mi which is the part that requires a permit. You can, however, still do most of the hike leading up to it 📌 Scout Lookout on the West Rim Trail is about 2.25mi and this is the hike leading to the start of Angel’s Landing. This portion is stunning filled with jaw dropping views, it also, doesn’t require a permit ⛓️ Highly recommend checking this hike out even if you don’t get your permit 10/10 📍You can get there from the Grotto stop (Shuttle Stop #6) or by taking the Kayenta Trail.
